Product Review: Suave Dry Shampoo Spray

Ever been so busy that you couldn't find the time to shower, no matter how badly you wanted to?
Ever woken up late in the morning only to find out that you only have 10 minutes to get ready?

Out of everything, I really hate having oily hair.
It's very unattractive and I just cannot go through a whole day knowing that my hair is so oily and greasy.

It's a good thing that there are many solutions to these dire situations.
I love using dry shampoo whenever I don't have enough time to wash my hair.

It's very convenient and it saves you A LOT of time.

Suave Dry Shampoo Spray

This dry shampoo spray, with mineral clay, refreshes hair to prevent a greasy feel between washes. The dual benefit formula also helps re-style hair by adding lift and texture.

Directions: Shake can well. Hold 8-10 inches from hair. Spray directly on oily roots. Use heat from the palm of your hand to rub in excess powder. For oil prone hair, apply on first day hair is washed to give extra volume and texture as well as to absorb oil throughout the day.

This product works really well.
I try not to wash my hair everyday but at the same time I don't want oily hair either when I go to school so I use this in the morning.

It's very light and fresh, doesn't feel heavy on my roots.
It also doesn't leave a chalky, white residue like the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo.
It moderately controls oil and grease.
It adds volume to my hair and gives it a lot of body, which is definitely a plus!

It has a pineapple fruity smell to it. It may be strong at first but you'll eventually get used to it.
The yellow cap shuts the bottle really tight which prevents it from evaporating

The Suave Dry Shampoo Spray works extremely well for such a cheap price.

I hope that this review helped you guys!
Let me know if there are any other good dry shampoo brands that I can try. :D

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Sunday, September 18, 2011

Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles

There were many BEAUTIFUL night gowns at the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet. I wasn't able to pick just a few, so this is probably going to be one long post. ( I apologize in advance.)

So let's just get to it.

Here is my 2011 Emmy Awards LOVE IT post:

Anna Faris

I really LOVE the tribal print of her dress.

Archie Panjabi

The color looks great on her.

And I also LOVE the style.

Cat Deeley

Carrie Ann Inaba

She looks great!

Cobie Smulders

I just LOVE this whole ensemble.

The dress looks amazing with her dark brown hair.

I just really like it.

Evan Rachel Wood

Doesn't she look stunning?!

The whole look is just PERFECT!

Her gown looks so BEAUTIFUL.

Jennifer Carpenter

Very SEXY!

Gwyneth Paltrow

She carried this dress really well.

It's something different.

Emily Blunt

Aubrey Plaza

I really really really like this.

It all just mixed very well.

That dress is to die for!

Julia Stiles

I think she's pretty.

And even though she played it safe, I still LOVE IT.

Julie Bowen

Do I still have to explain why I totally LOVE this?!

Katie Holmes

One of my favorites of the night.

Kelly Osbourne

My sister didn't like it but I LOVE IT.

There's something about it that makes it look nice.

Lea Michele

I LOVE her dress. It's very sexy.

I just wish she would've done something better with her hair.

Look at the back side of her dress.

W O W!

Martha Plimpton

LOVE LOVE LOVE the glitters!

The fit is great on her.

Minka Kelly

Rachael Taylor

Annie Llonzeh

Naya Rivera

Sofia Vergara

She is HILARIOUS! I love her.

She always looks great!

Giuliana Rancic

She looks great but I think she's getting a bit too skinny.

Sarah Hyland

I LOVE that she went for a young and flirty look.

Her and her boyfriend are adorable!

Heidi Klum

Enough said.

1st Place: Jayma Mays

I think she's absolutely stunning.

I love her hair and how it's always perfect-looking.

Her gown fits her really well. WONDERFUL!

Did you watch the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Award? Who was your favorite look of the night?

Teen Vogue: Jean Pool -- Denim for Every Body

Jean Pool
Denim for Every Body

Here are many ways a person of any body type can rock denim.
I really enjoyed reading this article

Not only was I able to see which kind of denim fits my body type the best but I was also able to get inspirations on how to rock them.

Alyona Osmanova
22 years old, Ukranian model

She loves to wear jeans that are "tight on top and wide at the bottom".

Here, she is wearing a Charley 5.0 denim dress.
I love how she paired it bright yellow shoes for a bit of a color pop.

Sarah Hyland
20 years old, Actress

Since she is short and petite, her favorite type of jeans are the ones "with flap pockets on the butt" to create the illusion that she has one and "denim cutoffs" to make her legs look long.

I like how she went for a casual comfy look.
She's wearing wallflower shorts with an Isabel Marant Eloile sweater.
I LOVE how she wore knee high socks to complete the look. I can totally rock this look one of these days at school.

Kay Panabaker
20 years old, Actress

She loves to wear denim mini skirts to make her legs look longer.

Kay rocks a denim on denim look by pairing a pair of dark washed denim skirt with dark washed Hudson denim jacket. I actually bought a denim skirt but for some reason I never wore it.

Sloane Stephens
17 years old, Tennis player

Being an athlete means having tons of muscles. Sloane prefers stretchy denim material because it fits her muscular legs the best.

I love her Le Mont St. Michel skirt. It hugs her curves really well.
I also love how she paired with bright yellow AG Adriano Goldschmied tank top.

Hayley Hasselhoff
18 years old, Actress

She has a curvy body so skinnies and high-waisted jeans work the best for her. It accentuates her waist, lengthens her legs, and shows off her figure.

She looks great in her Diesel Black Gold Jacket. I love how she added the black patent belt to hug her at the waist.

Monyca Byrne-Wickey
20 years old, Professional Surfer

She loves wearing more relaxed fit denims like boyfriend jeans.

I really really like her Juicy Couture Jeans.
I need to go shopping for some boyfriend jeans.

Laura Love
19 years old, Model and Ballerina

Laura prefers to wear shorts over jeans. Since she has extremely long legs, it's difficult for her to find jeans that have long enough inseam.

I think she's beautiful. I've always wanted to to be a ballerina ever since I was a little girl. I love what she's wearing. It's very laid back.

Whitney Port
25 years old, Reality Star

Since she's bigger on top and smaller on the bottom, she loves to wear loose oversized tops paired with really tight jeans.

Jasmine Villegas
17 years old, Singer

She highlights her curves by rocking fitted jeans. She believes that "girls shouldn't wear clothes just because they're in fashion".

I love her top! It's very sophisticated and I love the color. I also like how her jeans have patches on them. It's a bit different.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. And I hope that it helped you guys find out which type of denim looks best with your body type. :D

I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes.

Product Review: Freeman Facial Clay Mask -- Mint & Lemon

Whenever I feel really stressed and overwhelmed, I find it relaxing to just lay down for a couple of minutes with a facial mask on.
There's just something about it that calms me down.

My most recent facial mask find is
Freeman Clay Mask Mint & Lemon.

Freeman Mint & Lemon Facial Clay Mask

This lemony cool clay mask helps soothe skin and reduce inflammation caused by breakouts. Helps control oil production and reduce the appearance of large pores.

I usually leave this on my face and neck for a good 30 minutes. I know it only says 10 minutes but I like it completely dry on my skin before I wash it off.

This mask gets rid of excess oil and it minimizes breakouts.
It dries out the blemishes and it heals it at a rapid pace.
It also makes it easier to remove blackheads and whiteheads on your skin.

*Thanks to my brother for being my hand model!*

The color of the mask is avocado green. Its consistency is like a thick paste.
It smells amazing. I never get tired of its lemony scent.
I think that's what makes it relaxing.
The fact that it has lemon as one of the ingredients means that it can also lighten up your skin.

It leaves my skin looking fresh and healthy everytime I use it.

Have you tried the Freeman Mint & Lemon Facial Clay Mask before?

Beauty is only skin deep.

Review & Giveaway: To Die For Jewellry -- CLOSED

For those people who did not win my last giveaway, DO NOT FRET, because I have a treat for you guys at the end of this post. ;]

Alice, from
Who is Alibaba?, and I have teamed up to give one of you guys the opportunity to win a single feather earring. HOW EXCITING!

She sells over 10 feather earrings at her etsy shop,
To Die For Jewellry.
Each piece is definitely TO DIE FOR! I fell in love with every single one once I entered her website.

And let me tell you, these are not your ordinary feather earrings.
Alice, herself, takes the time and effort to make each and every earring as unique as possible.

*pictures from*

Here is a mini interview with Alice:

1. How long have you been making feather earrings?

A: I started to make feather earrings late last year, about November 2010. When I was a kid I always loved to be creative. Making stuff from scratch or recreating a lot of other things was just normal for me. So this feather earrings project was first of all a random project I started. I wanted to make feather stuff to myself, but it developed very fast.

2. Has it always been a hobby of yours?

A: Yeah, it’s just a side project. I have my last year in high school. After that I’m thinking to go study art or choose creative subjects at a University. It means I have plenty of time to make feather earrings and be creative.

3. How long does it usually take you to make one earring?

A: Well it depends how long every feather earring is. It takes couple of hours because every one of them is specially designed. None of the earrings look alike.

4. When did you open your To Die For Jewelry shop? And why did you decide on opening one?

A: I started my To Die For Jewelry shop in April 8 2011. First of all I was a little bit scared that if I opened this shop nobody would care to buy anything from me, but one buyer lead to another. Tada, it didn’t go too bad.

5. How do you choose the feathers, beads, or any kind of design you use in each of your earrings?

A: Each earring is special. Like I said before every feather and pearl is personally chosen by me. I like to mix different kinds of feathers together and usually it comes out looking good. What I feel I would wear, I make it and sell it.

Also I make custom made. That means you have to contact me via my email (

6. How do you think feather earrings reflect your fashion/style?

A: When I randomly meet people and they are complimenting my feather earrings, it always warms my heart no matter how embarrassed I am. What I make is what I love to wear. Style is something you can’t buy, but you can buy accessories. A nice and eye-catching jewelry makes a person turn around. That’s what I’m trying to make.

7. Anything else you would like to share?

A: Be yourself and creative.

The idea behind the shop’s name, To Die For Jewelry is a song, “To Die For” by Automatic Loveletter. No matter how hard you try and would do anything “to die for”, you will achieve the dream and the goal in your mind. Not anybody is satisfied about what you do, but as long as you love what you do, the tiny little dream inside your head will shine bright like a rainbow someday. So follow your dreams and do something that you love, whoever reads this interview.

Not that my little shop turned the tables well enough that I have tons of orders now, but I still have a path to go. And all I want to do is inspire people.

Check out my blog, or my shop

Alice sent me 2 single feather earrings, one of which I will be giving away.

I love this earring.
I wore it to school and EVERYONE was telling me how cute it was and asking me where I got it from.
I can definitely tell that it was very well made.

As you can see in the picture above, Alice connects the feathers individually to a chain which creates one big chunk. HOW CREATIVE IS THAT!

I also love the combination of the colors. It really goes together.
I can wear it with neutrals, blues, whites, etc...

I will be giving away this one-of-a-kind earring to one lucky reader!
It's a single feather earrings designed just for you.
