If you guys didn't know, I am a big YouTube junkie.
I can watch videos there for hours and hours long. It's kind of insane, actually.
Earlier this year, one of my favorite YouTube beauty guru, Missglamorrazi, featured an Etsy shop called Grace and Lace in one of her "favorites" video and I just FELL.IN.LOVE!
Grace and Lace sells a variety of things from scarves to arm warmers, but they specialize in socks -- lace boot socks, leg warmers, collegiate/sorority socks, etc.
I have been wanting a pair of lace socks to wear with my military boots and ankle booties and Melissa was nice enough to send me a pair of their Dainty Lace Boot Cuffs.
You guys have no idea how stoked I was!!!
Dainty Lace Boot Cuffs in TAN
$22.00
Made of cotton material.
Handmade.
Want the look of a boot sock or leg warmer without the bulk? These dainty chevron open-knit boot cuffs
are so versatile and light weight - perfect for every season. They're featured with our classic wrap around
ivory knit lave and 2 ivory shank buttons. They look perfect just peeking out above your favorite boots! Pull
up or shorten to any boot height to rock this lacey faux sock look.
Aside from it's cute looks, this particular pair caught my eye because of its versatility.
I can wear it with my short military boots, as well as with my riding boots.
I chose the color TAN because I want to be able to wear it with different outfits and I thought that TAN was the best color to go for.
As you guys can see, I can roll it down for shorter boots or up for longer ones.
I am soooo in love with these socks.
I love the girly-ness of the lace and the buttons on the side. It's just super pretty!!!
It's also really easy to clean. Just a quick hand-wash and lay flat to dry.
VOILA!

Why don't we get to know the person behind Grace and Lace for a little bit?
I did a mini Q&A with Melissa and she let us in on some interesting stuff...
I was a brand new mom to a miracle baby girl, when I made my first pair of Lacey Boot Socks, a year and 1/2 ago. After wearing them and getting a million compliments, I posted them on my then baby clothing Etsy site...just to see if they'd sell. In a matter of mere days I had orders in quantities that I could not possibly fill on my own. Now, I have a small crew of friends and family, that still work from our homes and our new studio offices, sewing and shipping our lacey goodness to you! We are now an "official company" with trademarked designs. The rest has been a business-in-the-making story that is still very much in process.
2. How long have you been running your Etsy shop?
I started my shop exactly 2 years ago! I opened it just for selling some little baby clothes that I was then making for my newborn! Then listed my first pair of boot socks on Oct. 30, 2011. I had NO CLUE it would turn into THIS!
3. How do you choose the designs on your socks/leg warmers?
Let me start off by saying that I don't consider myself a designer. I have no formal background or experience in designing. That said, my entire life in everything I've done, I've always had a "do it yourself or die trying" mentality. Being soooo DIY, I've just always created and LOOVED to create! It's like ingrained in me and now it has led me here. I find things/patterns/textures that I'm inspired by, make some idea boards, and start to develop!
4. How long does it take to create a pair of lacey socks/leg warmers?
MONTHS!! (I'd say at least 4 months). There is sooo much that goes into it -- yarn gauges, weights, yarn blends, sizing, colors, knit patterns, stretch/elasticity...etc. Then we make and run samples, wear tests, make corrections...and do it all over again. Whew!
5. What is your personal style like?
Humm...I would say I'm pretty trendy/casual if that is even "a style." Ha! I find myself mostly creating things that I like and that I would wear...etc. And I love to be cute but comfy too. That's probably why the Alpines and Nellie Knits are my favorite. :)
6. Is there anything you would like to add?
Just thanks for reading and taking a look at my shop. Never in a million years did I dream I would have a business like this - yet I always prayed that the Lord would use my gifts and creativity. Be careful what you pray for. :) Feeling totally blessed! Thank you for the opportunity to share!

One word: WOW!!!
It's crazy to think that the entire process, from designing to actually creating the socks, takes about 4 months.
No wonder, all Grace and Lace socks are absolutely amazing!
Have you guys gotten your own pair?!
If you haven't, make sure you do. I promise you won't regret it!!!
