Scarves.com -- Fall Season is Scarf Season

One of the reasons why I love Fall is because it's scarf season!!!
It's barely starting to get really cold here in LA, so I'm super excited to wear my two new pashminas from Scarves.com.

James sent me two scarves to model for all my lovely readers:
- Geo Circles Pashmina in Orange Blend
- Wentworth Paisley Pashmina in Royal Blue Blend

Tangerine and Black/Blue are some of this year's fall colors.
I really wanted a red wine one, but these scarves really caught my eye. I couldn't pass it up. I had to have them.

$24.95

Find both warmth and elegance with this luxurious geometric circles patterned pashmina style shawl. This acrylic blend with a fine woven texture features a black background that is adorned with beautiful orange accents and a fringed hem. This shawl is great to wear all year round. Wear it as a neck scarf in the winter and as a chic shawl during the summer nights. Treat yourself!

Feels super soft.
It keeps me warm and toasty.
Love the circles pattern.
Brown and orange -- PERFECTION!

Don't you just love the the colors of this scarf? It screams fall.
Every time I look at it, it reminds me of trees during the fall season, with all its orange and yellow leaves.

I kept the outfit simple since the scarf has a lot going on.
I wore my coral Cotton On hi-low dress with my taupe pea coat. And to keep the outfit looking hip & trendy, I paired it with my studded oxfords that I got from Fashion Q.
I also wore a gold cocktail ring.

$24.95

Take your style up a notch and live the posh life wearing this luxurious Wentworth Paisley pashmina style shawl. Wrap up in the luscious swath of subtle paisleys in versatile royal blue and black, adorned with a fringed hem. This sophisticated scarf makes for a must-have fashion accessory that can be worn with any outfit all year round. It will instantly add a dash of class and elegance to your suits, dresses, and even jeans!

Not too heavy.
Keeps me warm and toasty just like the Geo Circles scarf.
I love that it's black & blue together!!!
It adds the perfect pop of color to a simple outfit.

It was still a bit warm when I wore this particular scarf so this outfit isn't really appropriate for the "brrrr" weather. Haha.
I wanted to go for a grunge look so I wore a tan tank top tucked into my navy blue pencil skirt from Forever 21. I love how the blue really stands out against the tan and the black.
For my shoes, I wore my black combat boots from a local boutique with brown knee-high socks that I scrunched down.
I also wore a black tassel necklace for a little accessory.

Be sure to check out www.scarves.com next time you go scarves shopping! They have A LOT of choices.
You'll definitely enjoy yourself. :D

New Beauty Trends To Try Now! :D

Before anything, I just wanted to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone had a great time with their family and friends. :)

I'm always on the lookout for the season's new trends, are you?
I love trying out new things. It's really exciting to step out of your comfort zone and try something that you wouldn't normally do (or in this case wear) -- darker lips, bright blush, winged eyeliner, etc.

So here is a little guideline for all you "makeup adventurers" out there. :)

1. MAJOR BLUSH

Windswept cheeks are bold but easy; Apply most on the apples and blend out toward temples. Pick brights for fair skin; go deeper for darker skin.

Here are a couple of different blushes that I have in my collection that are perfect for the "major blush" trend.

2. PERFECT PONIES

Shiny, sleek, and pulled super tight -- these tails are too chic for the gym...but perfect for your portrait!

I have yet to try this hairstyle.
My hair is still really short (it's shoulder length) for this trend but I will definitely try this once it starts getting longer. :)

3. DRAMATIC WINGS

Be fierce your first day with killer cat-eyes! Draw a thick line, and then swoosh it like you mean it!

I do the cat-eye look on a daily basis.
I LOOOOOVE this look especially with red lips. It's just perfection.

4. PRETTY HEADBANDS

Heads up! Frame your face in tulle, satin, and lace!

I love wearing headbands!!!
They're an easy way to accessorize. They're also the best thing to use when you're having a bad hair day!
Talk about being a savior. Haha.

5. POWER BROWS

Draw attention to your eyes with strong brows! This look calls for minimal makeup -- just swipe on a brow gel that's one shade darker than your own.

I don't have a brow gel but what I DO have is my ever so trusty E.L.F eyebrow kit.
I always tell my sisters that my favorite part of putting on makeup is doing my eyebrows.
I just really love the look of defined eyebrows. And I also love shaping them.

6. WILD CURLS

Unleash your locks! Create perfect ringlets with a tiny curler, and then brush them out for a big chiffon-y effect.

This hairstyle screams runway!!! It's a really crazy look, but I would so LOVE to try it.

Which of these trends would you like to try?

NYX: Rouge Cream Blush

Happy Monday!!!
4 more days before Thanksgiving. Yay!

Before anything, I wanted to let you guys know that I announced the winners of my Chicnova Thanksgiving Giveaway in my previous post.
Check it out if you haven't yet. :)

The last product that I got from the NYX Booth at IMATS is the Rouge Cream Blush.
I have a very pale complexion, so blush is a must for me. I love wearing it because it immediately livens up my face. :D

$6.00

More delicious than peaches and cream? We like to think so. Our velvety smooth mineral Rouge Cream Blush offers a sheer wash of radiant color. The glorious payoff is dewy, sultry and long-lasting.
Available in 12 shades.

The color choices are:

- Rose Petal
- Natural
- Tea Rose
- Glow
- Diva
- Red Cheeks
- Hot Pink
- Orange
- Golden
- Boho Chic
- Bronze Goddess
- Tickled

This is my very first cream blush.
I've never really paid much attention to cream blushes, so I decided to give this one a try.
And once again, NYX did not disappoint. I seriously feel like I'm a broken record.
I'm always raving about NYX. I hope I don't bore you guys. Haha.

NYX cream blushes have a great color selection
It took me quite a while to pick the color I want, but I ended up going for the color HOT PINK.
This shade is extremely bright, which is perfect for me!
It's incredibly pigmented, so a little definitely goes a long way.
The texture is creamy, but kind of sticky at the same time.
It blends fairly easily.
The color lasts a very long time.

Here is a swatch of how the blush looks before blending.
As you can see, it's really pigmented so you have to blend it extremely well!

Here is a swatch of the blush after it was slighty blended...

And here is a swatch after it was thoroughly blended.
The color looks light and natural, just the way I like it. :]

Have you guys tried any of the NYX Rouge Cream Blush? How did you guys like it?

Out and About: Ellen DeGeneres and One Direction All-In-One :)

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!
So I told you guys that a week ago, I got to attend the One Direction concert at The Ellen Show!
I love Ellen (I mean who doesn't?) and I love One Direction, so it was definitely a lot of fun. I got to see some of my favorite celebrities at the same time. Could my day have gotten any more awesome?

I promised you guys I would share my experience with you, so here it is!!!
I must warn you guys though, this post is kind of "picture heavy", but I do hope you enjoy. :D

They had food trucks there in case people got hungry. The line was super long, so having food nearby was convenient.

I got there kind of late, so we were waaaay in the back of the line.
I've never seen so many girls in one place at one time though. It was insane!
Some die hard fans were actually already crying and hyperventilating. I was just like "You guys have got to calm down! Save some tears for later." :]

After 2 hours of waiting and waiting and waiting, it's check-in time!!! WOOHOO!
One step closer to seeing my hunka babes. :P

Right after checking in, it was another 30 minutes of waiting for the shuttles to take us to the Warner Bros. Studios.
When we got there, it was extremely loud and crazy.
There were girls left and right. Everyone was just so pumped and ready to party. Haha.

*Excuse the iPhone quality pictures. Cameras weren't allowed.*

Sophia Grace and Rosie kicked it off by singing, or should I say rapping, Super Bass by Nicki Minaj.
Then One Direction performed and Ellen came out and the rest is history. LOL.
They performed 4 songs, played games with some lucky fans, and Ellen did a little interview which was incredibly hilarious, of course.
I really enjoyed this experience.
It was my first time seeing the boys live, so I made sure to make the most out of it. :)

I was also planning to take some OOTD photos, but I forgot!!!
Ah, I'm so sorry. I was just so excited, it totally slipped my mind.
But just so you guys have an idea, I wore really colorful clothes -- bright yellow scarf, coral chiffon top, bright blue knitted cardigan -- so I would stand out in the crowd. :]

Hope you guys enjoyed going through this experience with me! Have an amazing weekend! :D
