Seventeen: Look pretty all summer

Well, I can finally say that it's OFFICIALLY summer!
And yes, I can definitely feel it now that the June gloom is gone.
I've been trying my best to stay cold in this weather by staying in the library or going to the mall.

One thing I abosultely hate about the summer is wearing heavy makeup.
It's very uncomfortable when you're strolling around the boardwalk, sweating your butt off and you see your makeup melting.

That's why I choose to wear VERY light and simple makeup during the summertime.
Here are tips on how to "Look Pretty All Summer."

Be the hottest girl in the beach!

The Basics:

1. Always make sure to scrub your feet! Although the sand works as a very good exfoliant, it's always better to get a head start.

2. Don't forget to shave your legs for soft and smooth skin. I have never shaved my legs before. I choose not to start because I'm only going to end up having to shave them all the time. I'm a lazy person, so that wouldn't work for me.

3. Smoothen out your back and stomack with Nair! It also boosts your resistance to harmful UV Rays which is definitely a plus.

4. Keep your underarms smelling fresh and clean by applying Dove deodorant!

5. Moisturize your lips with a hydrating balms with SPF sunscreen.

6. No hairstyle is better than beachy waves when you're hanging out by the shores. Make sure to apply deep-conditioner to your locks before playing under the sun to keep it soft and luscious.

Don't want to stay under the sun for hours just to tan? FAKE IT!

There are many products that you can buy in drugstores that will give you the same radiant tone as a real tan.

I'm fair-skinned so it's kind of hard for me to tan. But I use Jergens Natural Glow! It works really well for me.

Tips on applying makeup that makes your skin flawless:

1. Golden Shimmer

2. Sunset Gloss

3. Airy Foundation

4. Punchy Lipstick

5. Glowy Primer

6. Sea-blue Shadow

Add bronzer for a more radiant looking skin.

Keep yourself smelling great with these fragrances.
Sprits summery scents to add a flirtiness to your get up.

Summer-ize your look!

Sparkly eyes.
Dewy cheeks.
Juicy lips.
Radiant skin.

Are you up and ready for the summer?

Saturday Steals: Cotton On

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Isn't crazy how time goes by so fast? I mean we're already at the end of another week.
Not to mention, halfway through the year.

But anyways, today's blog post is about "Saturday Steals."

My friends have been talking nonstop about a new store called Cotton On.
They always talk about how cheap it is there and how they always have cute things.
So I decided to check it out. And to my surprise, they were right.

Here are some of the things that caught my eye!

Blondie Bling Tee

Abbie Lace Tee

Jenny Dress

Aisha Knit Dress

Simba Blazer

Petal Pocket Skirt

Annie Skirt

Kisrs Ankle Boots

Osborne Boots

Cotton On stores are located in many countries like:

New South Wales
New Zealand

It's very similar to Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, and Charlotte Russe.
I ought to go visit the one in the Northridge Mall!

Super duper catchy. Very fun and colorful video.

New York Colors: Blushable Creme Blush

Hey Girlies!

Today, I am going to be reviewing my everyday blush.

Wearing blush is one of my favorite ways to add color to my face.
A lot of people have told me that I get very pale at times, so I make sure to add a lot of color.
I usually just wear neutral makeup for school since I don’t really want to go overboard.

I reserve my eye shadows for special occasions. ;]

New York Color Blushable Crème Stick
“Big Apple Blush”

Price may vary according to which store you buy it!
I can't really remember how much this was since I got it a while ago.
But I'm sure it's not more than $10.

The one I have is 0.28 oz.
The packaging is very impressive. It has a clear cap that snaps open and close.
This will also help you when you are at the store, trying to decide which color will look good on your skin color.

The actual stick is safe inside a tube that you can twist left and right to make the stick go up when you are applying it and down when you are finished with it.

As you can see, the blush stick contains a little bit of shimmer.

It is very easy to apply. Draw 3 circles in each of your cheek bones.
Then spread it with your fingers while contouring your face at the same time.

It’s up to you how you dark you want it to be.
I usually just apply 3 circles to get the color that I desire.

Here is swatch of the blush that has not been spread.

Here is a swatch of the blush that has been spread.

The NYC Color blushable crème blush is long-lasting.

My face tends to get oily by the end of the day, so the blush tends to become oily as well.
I guess it all depends on how your skin is.
When this happens, I just use oil absorbers to lessen the oiliness of my skin.
Afterwards, I dab a little bit of face powder and I re-apply my blush.

What’s your everyday blush? How do you like it?
