Stoked about the AVON superSHOCK

Since we talked about practicing the winged eyeliner look on my previous post, it makes perfect sense to talk about my current eye/gel liner product, right? YES!!!

AVON SuperSHOCK eye liner

I bought my superSHOCK eye/gel liner in blackened metal from Avon.com.

This is actually my very first eyeliner pot. 

I used to just go for drugstore liquid liners, but I wanted to try something more grown-up, I guess. Haha.

The first time I tried it, I thought that it would be more liquid-y. Instead, it had more of a hard consistency.

I like how the color is not too harsh.

It glides on easily, however, I have to go over it at least 2 times to get the shade that I want.

I also found that wetting my eyeliner brush a little helps darken the color.

The color is a light charcoal with lots of shimmer in it.

Now, those of you out there who are eyeliner whizzes know that smudging/smearing is an important factor when it comes to picking out an eyeliner product.

Well, I am happy to tell you guys that this liner does not smudge at all.

My eyelids tend to get greasy as the day progresses, however, this eyeliner does not budge one bit.

It doesn't come with an applicator, so you will need a brush or something to apply it.

I use my Sigma eyeliner E05 brush. 

I actually got this for free from IMATS, so yay!!! 

I'm finally putting it to good use. :D

So far, I am totally loving this product.

I definitely recommend it, especially for those of you who are beginners.

It's super easy to work with and you don't have to worry about applying too much like when working with liquid liners.

I give this product a 4.5 out of 5!

Practice Makes Perfect: Get Catty with Lauren Conrad

Like Lauren Conrad, I am a big fan of the winged eyeliner look.
I think it looks great with light and simple makeup.
It could also be paired with bright, red lips for a dramatic approach.

HOWEVER, unlike Lauren Conrad, I am so not a pro at this particular eyeliner method.
There are times when I get it perfect, but most of the time, it's nothing but A BIG BLOB OF FAIL. Haha.

I know a lot of you guys out there aren't so good at it either 

(C'mon, don't be shy. You're not the only one), so here is a little "How-To" video from Lauren Conrad...

I'm definitely not going to give up on this.
I'm gonna practice and practice and practice and practice...until I master it.

LC can do it "sans mirror," so that's going to be our goal, okay gals?! :D

This pair of frame has a retro look, made of acetate, is a unisex full-rim frame. At the corner of the frame front there is one tiny metal tip at each side. There are four color options, black, tortoise shell pattern in brown, black outside with burgundy inside, and black outside with clear inside. Retro style never fades out. This frame is pretty lightweight, with the total weight at 22 grams including lenses.

I wanted to try something a little bit different this time, so I went for a round shaped frame.

It has a retro feel to it with a mix of a nerdy look. The frame size is just right -- not too small, not too big.

It's light and it sits comfortably on my nose. The fit is perfect as well.

I also really love the tortoise finish. It almost looks like leopard print, which is pretty cool.

It doesn't look like your regular eyeglasses. It could definitely pass for a fashion piece when worn with a cute outfit.

I got the 2nd pair for my little brother.

Chicnova: Canvas Shoulder Bag

I have been a big fan of Chicnova for quite some time now. 

So I decided to check out their website for the perfect school bag. 

Canvas Shoulder Bag

This shoulder bag has been crafted from a soft canvas fabric. The details include: twin slim shoulder straps with leather look fabric details, oversized compartment, magnetic snap top closure, and the Eiffel Tower print to the main.

The tote is made of white canvas fabric, so it makes it easy to match with different outfits. (You all know how much I love my colorful clothes. Haha.)

The bottom half and the straps has faux leather lining which I LOVE!!! 

It makes it look nice and sleek, not like an ordinary tote bag. 

One thing I didn't like about this bag is that it accumulates SO MUCH lint!
I have to carry a mini lint remover around, but it isn't so bad I guess.

Paris is my dream, so I love that the Eiffel tower is imprinted on the front. :)

It has a magnetic snap top for easy open and easy close.

It may not look like it, but the space inside is HUGE.

It fits all of my school books, notebooks, makeup bag, water bottle, and everything else.

I can even stuff it with all kinds of snacks. THUMBS UP for that!

It also has a big pocket compartment for all my little knickknacks and whatnot, so they're not floating around inside. 

We, girls, know how that gets super annoying. Haha.

The tote comes with twin short slim straps and a long one.

I'll be able to carry the bag like this...

or I can hang it on my shoulders with the long strap for a more comfortable feel. 

FUN FACT: I wore my Forever 21 jeans with this outfit and the blue color actually got on the white canvas fabric part of the tote bag. :( 

I was so sad, but I eventually got over it. And it actually rubbed off so it's gone now. :D
