Wishlist: H&M

Photobucket

Just thought I'd share with you guys a couple of things on my wishlist this year.
These are all from H&M!
:)

Photobucket

Knitted Sweater
$34.95

I would wear this with black jeggings and brown leather riding boots (scroll all the way down to see the boots). I might also add a solid colored scarf just to add a little color.

Photobucket

Oversized Cardigan
$29.95

I LOVE huge cardigans. That's my "go to" piece of clothing everytime I feel like just bumming it at school because I definitely do not want to wear sweats. That's a BIG NO NO!

Photobucket

Faux Fur Vest
$14.95

I can wear this over some of my hoodies or even over an oversized sweater. I think this vest will be of great use for me.

Photobucket

Short Brocade Dress
$49.95

I just LOVE everything about this dress. The color. The detailing. The style.
I WANT IT BADLY!!! I can already picture myself wearing it to a Christmas party with black tights and black flats. I can also add a thin braided belt just to make it more casual and wear a jean jacket or a blazer over it.

Photobucket

Leggings
$29.95

I really do not understand why these pair of leggings cost more than the fur vest.
But I like it because of the color. I can match with a lot of things. I also really like the tiny bow in the back part.

Photobucket

Faux Fur Leopard Scarf
$17.95

TOO CUTE TO PASS UP!

Photobucket

Brown Leather Lace Up Boots
$39.95

I've been wanting something like this both in brown and black. These are the perfect shoes to wear on a rainy day.

Photobucket

Suede Ankle Boots
$34.95

Do I even need to explain why these LOVELY boots are on my wishlist?!

Photobucket

Brown Riding Boots
$49.95

These boots are beautiful. I can wear them with pretty much everything. Especially with the freezing, cold weather this coming winter, they'll keep my little piggies (toes ;]) warm!

Do you have a wishlist? What's your most recent purchase?

And then, I do love my shopping, but actually, lounging is the big thing.

10 Ways to Get Shiny Hair

Photobucket

Having beautiful, shiny hair is what everyone strives to achieve.

Here are 10 Ways to Get Shiny Hair!

Photobucket

1. Dye it right!

When dying your hair, make sure to choose the right shade for you so you can avoid changing colors. Warm golden shades and dark colors tend to give off a more glossy look.

2. Schedule regular snips.

I was told that in order to keep your hair healthy, you have to get a trim every 6 weeks. This way, you are getting rid of split ends.

3. Repair while you iron.

NEVER skip heat protectant whether you're blow-drying, straightening, or curling! That is a must. In addition, you can also use a ceramic straightener which "moisturizes" your locks rather than frying it. It leaves your hair really soft and tangle-free afterwards.

4. Veg out.

Try to consume vitamins A and C!

5. Find your formula.

I love using Argan oil and hair serums. I apply them everytime after I shower.

Photobucket

6. Layer on the gel.

I'm not really a big fan of gel. But if you were to rock a high ponytail, gel is the answer to a shiny one.

7. Take a cold shower!

This is a problem for me. I only take a shower in hot water. I guess it's because it relaxes me. But from now on, I'm going to try showering in cold water just to decrease the heat I apply on my hair.

8. Embrace oils.

ARGAN OIL! COCONUT OIL! HOT OIL!

9. Have a pint.

Ooo, I never knew that drenching your hair in beer will make it shiny. Hmm, I should try this.

10. Come clean.

Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to get rid of any buildup from all the products that you used.

Here are a few of my hair products wishlist:

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment
$33

Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Styling Heat Protect Spray
$22

Amika Triple Barrel Pro-Curler Set
$175

I hope that these tips helped you guys!

How do you keep you hair looking shiny and healthy? What products do you guys use?

It doesn't matter how long my hair is or what colour my skin is or whether I'm a woman or a man.

Product Review: Rimmel Glam' Eyes Mascara

If you were to ask me, "If you could bring only one makeup with you, what would it be?", I would say "MASCARA!" in a heartbeat.
I don't know why, but I cannot leave the house without putting mascara on.
I guess it's because I'm used to wearing it everyday ever since my freshman year in high school.

Photobucket

Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara
$7.29 at Ulta

This mascara is very creamy and smooth to apply.
It definitely does not clump and it separates my eyelashes from each other very well.
It coats very well. It also brightens up my eyes which I need since I don't really get enough sleep. (I HATE HOMEWORK!)
Great packaging. The wand is light and very easy to handle.

Photobucket

Wet n' Wild eyelash curler
$5.99

This is the eyelash curler that I bring with me to school.
It's tiny so it fits in my makeup bag perfectly.
I like to re-curl my eyelashes in the middle of the day because they tend to straighten out after a few hours.

Product Review: N.Y.C -- Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

During the summer, I tried to stay away from the sun as much as possible.
I wanted to have an even skin tone for the school year and I didn't want to resort to using a peeling toner.

So lately I've been relying on the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder to give me a healthy tan and glowing skin.

Photobucket

N.Y.C. Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720A.
$4.80

Photobucket

This bronzer is great for contouring.
Although I rarely do since it's not really needed for school.
I use it more as a blush and with a light hand, as a powder for my whole face.
Because I definitely don't like looking very pale and ghostly at school.

It's very affordable. I think it's definitely worth the $4.80.
I don't use the pink sponge that came with it.
I prefer to use my own regular blush brush.

It's also very pigmented so I only use a little bit everyday. I'm sure that this will last me a long time.

Product Review: St. Ives Apricot Cleanser

It's very important to wash your face EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Whether you wear makeup or not, you accumulate A LOT of dirt from the air so it's crucial that you cleanse your skin.

I wash my face at least 3 times a day. Once in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. My skin tends to get really oily so I like to wash it multiple times just to diminish any excess oil.

I use St. Ives Apricot Cleanser.

Photobucket

St. Ives Naturally Clear Blemish Fighting Apricot Cleanser
$3.74

Deep cleans and fights blemishes without drying.

This cleanser, with natural microbeads and apricot extracts, controls oil and fights blemishes without over drying the skin.

I love apricot cleansers because it really feels like it clears my skin.
The tiny microbeads in the cleanser act as a scrub which takes off any dry skin and leaves my face soft. (like a baby's bottom)

You can also use this cleanser even if you have dry skin.
Apricots contain oil that helps hydrate so it'll be a perfect face wash for you.

The smell is great. It's very light and very much like an apricot scrub. ;)
It easily gets rid of makeup and any build up on my skin. Which is super awesome.

I hope you found this review somewhat helpful. Let me know how this product works for you.

Easy Hair Ideas: 2011 Homecoming

Homecoming dances are just around the corner for most high schools.
It's the very first dance of the school year and it is usually the one EVERYONE attends.
I know, us, girls get EXTREMELY excited about dressing up and doing our hair and makeup.

We spend A LOT of time trying to decide which hairstyle to do with our beautiful locks. Furthermore, I know that we spend hours and hours just to perfect that hairstyle.

That is why I am here to give you girlies some simple hair dos that you can consider. They are really easy to do and at the same time very sophisticated and chic.

1.) The Ballerina Bun

Photobucket
Photobucket

Feel like a ballerina!
I personally love this look. It's very sophisticated.
I love to wear dangling earrings with this just because you can really show them off.

2.) Loose Curls

Photobucket
Photobucket

Go for a romantic glam look!
This is also one of my favorite hairstyles.
Not only is it easy to do but it lasts the whole night.
And the more you dance, the effortless and messier it will look.

3.) Braided Up Do

Photobucket
Photobucket

Add a Bohemian feel to your ensemble!
If you are going for a Bohemian look, doing a bunch of braids is the best way to go.

4.) High Ponytail

Photobucket
Photobucket

Look glamorous with a high ponytail!
This is a good way to highlight your dress. If you're wearing a sparkly dress and you want the attention there, this is the perfect hair for you.

5.) Romantic Half Up, Half Down

Photobucket
Photobucket

Some of us are really indecisive about whether we want our hair up or down.
Going for a half up, half down look will also look really pretty.
You can also wave the bottom part for a more girly feel.

6.) Side Braid

Photobucket
Photobucket

Stay casual with a side braid.
Whether it be fishtail or french, side braids will surely give you a more laidback look.
This can also work if you're trying to go for the simple look.

7.) Natural Curls

Photobucket
Photobucket

Go Au-Naturale with your natural curls!
If your hair is naturally curly, rock it. Add an accessory and dance the night away!

8.) Hair Bows

Photobucket
Photobucket

Accessorize with a hair bow!
Add a hair bow to your bun, braid, or curls.
It will come out super cute especially if your dance theme is 50's inspired.

9.) Headbands

Photobucket
Photobucket

Adding a headband will also vamp up any look.
You can wear it with your bun, your curls, or even rock it in the hippie look like Taylor Swift. Just remember not to over-accessorize!

I hope that this gave you girls a couple of ideas. I know it helped me a lot on deciding.

How are you planning to do your hair any upcoming events? If you've already had your Homecoming Dance, what kind of hairstyle did you choose to do?
