This Is My Must Watch Christmas Movies List

Happy Thursday, everyone!!!
Light up your Christmas trees and fill up your stockings because there's officially 5 more days till Christmas.
Today, I have something really fun in store for you guys.

When the holiday season starts, it's always a MUST for me to watch all of my favorite holiday movies.
It's a really great way to bond with your whole family.
It's also my way of jump-starting the Holiday season.
With the freezing cold weather outside, there's nothing better than staying home, all cuddled on the couch with your comfiest blankie, watching your favorite Christmas movie while sipping on a heaping cup of peppermint mocha latte.
(Yup, that's my new favorite Christmas drink.)

I wanted to share with you guys a few of my MUST WATCH CHRISTMAS FILMS, starting from my so-so favorites to my all-time favorite. :D
My holidays are not complete without watching these movies at least once. :D

10. Love Actually

So this movie is about 6 guys and 4 girls who fall in love with each other.
They spend Christmas together...
Uhm, yeah. Okay, okay, you guys caught me.
I haven't actually watched Love Actually, BUT it is my sister's favorite Christmas movie so I thought I'd include it in my list. (Actually, she forced me. Sshh.)
However, I will definitely be watching it this year. I have to see what the fuss is all about.

9. Four Christmases

"MISTLETOE!"

Oh my gosh, my siblings and I loooooove this movie.
If you're looking for a good laugh, this is a great movie to watch.
Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon together in a movie is a complete laugh trip all the way.

8. Elf

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear."

Who doesn't love Elf? I mean c'mon.
It's a Will Ferrell movie. It doesn't get better than that.

7. Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas

"Hey, aren't we innocent into proven guilty?"

I watch this movie EVERY year!!!
My brother and I love this so much. I know it's kind of childish, but we don't care.
It has 5 different stories and all of them teaches kids good morals and character.

*I wasn't able to find the trailer. But here is the full movie if you would like to watch it.*

6. The Ultimate Christmas Present

"Any time you say 'trust me', I wind up either in detention or on a missing person's list."

I first saw this movie on Disney Channel a couple years ago. I think I was around 10 or 11 years old.
Ever since then, it has become a tradition to watch it every year.

5. The Polar Express

"Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can't see."

Ah, this movie is just epic! Everything about it is absolutely amazing.
The graphics, the music, the plot, EVERYTHING!
My favorite line is what Tom Hanks said as the conductor, "The thing about trains, it doesn't matter where they're going. What matters is deciding to get on."
I just think it has such a powerful meaning especially with life.

4. Christmas with the Kranks

"You're skipping Christmas?! Isn't that against the law?"

One time, I was just randomly browsing my TV Guide list, when I came across this movie.
I thought I'd give it a chance, so I watched it...
And the rest is history.

3. Holiday in Handcuffs

"There may not be such a thing as a perfect job, a perfect life, or a perfect family, but there is such a thing as a perfect moment. So I take back what I said. Doing one crazy thing probably does make you crazy, but it also can make you happy."

My sister got me so obsessed with this feel good movie.
Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart have an amazing chemistry. They're really cute together.
My favorite part would be the ending.
But you have to watch it to see. ;)

2. Home Alone

"Keep the change, ya filthy animal."

I think it's safe to say that Home Alone is everybody's favorite. Am i right or am i right?
I also love Home Alone 2!!! Not so much the third one though or the ones after.
Does anyone else hate when the whole cast of a movie is changed? I really hate it when that happens.

1. Serendipity

"Well, if we're meant to meet again, we'll meet again. It's just not the right time now."

Aaahhhh, we finally got to my ULTIMATE FAVORITE Christmas movie.
If there's one thing I truly believe in (aside from God, of course), it's destiny.
I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and also, that if it's meant to be, it will happen someway, somehow.
I can't even explain how much I love this movie. My sister and I HAVE to watch it every Christmas. It's a total must!
I'm actually going to borrow the DVD at the library tomorrow. (I don't know why I don't own the DVD.)

What's your favorite movie to watch during Christmas time?

Denim gets a winter makeover

I am totally obsessed with DENIM -- denim jeans, denim jackets, denim vests, even denim shirts.
Denim is an all-year trend. You can rock it in the spring, the summer, the fall, and yes, you guessed it, even the winter.
You just have to know the "ins" and the "outs" when it comes to dressing it up.
Luckily, Catherine sent me an article all about how to update your denim clothes this coming season.

Enjoy!!!

--- ---

Denim is an essential part of every woman’s wardrobe and is a classic look that will never go out of fashion. Wardrobes across the country are home to flares, skinnies, denim skirts, hot pants and denim shirts.

That’s not to say that our denim wear doesn’t need to be updated. It’s always best to invest in some key pieces that you know will stand the test of time, but it’s also important to look out for a few twists on the traditional to keep up with the trends. One idea might be to start by checking out the great selection of Levi jeans at Very.co.uk, then follow these tips to give you some inspiration when updating your denim over the coming months.

I am definitely going to get a pair of burgundy skinny jeans!Levi's High Rise Skinny Jeans - Portland Brown

Colour

Pastel-toned jeans brightened up outfits in spring and summer this year, but are less appropriate now winter is upon is. Coloured jeans should still top your to-buy list, though be sure to avoid those baby blues and pretty pinks. Instead, choose darker denim wear – deep burgundies, browns, plums and wines are slimming and work best over the festive period.

Faux Fur Denim Jacket - StyleSaysfur collar w/denim jacket & sequin top

Denim jackets

Cropped styles with three-quarter sleeves were a hit on the high street this year and were a staple piece of outerwear for many of us. Look out for shorter styles that are more appropriate for the cold winter weather: think thick sheepskin linings and full-length sleeves. Pair with chunky ankle boots for a casual look.

Double denim

You may have sneered at this in the past, but now you can turn heads in double denim for all the right reasons. Avoid matching tones – pair dark indigo skinny jeans with a pale denim shirt.

DIY ~~ Distressed Denimbonafide vintage

Western

Channel cowgirl chic with fringing, stud details and embroidery on your denim wear. This look featured on the runway at Isabel Marant’s recent shows and has already moved to the high street. Don’t fancy going too way out West? Work the cowgirl-trend with ripped or distressed denim.
\
Updating a classic look is easy when you invest in a few choice denim pieces that will ensure you look fabulous this winter.

--- ---

Well, there you have it!
I hope you guys enjoyed this really fun article.
I also hope you guys picked up a couple ideas on how to revamp your denim clothes for the coming winter season.
I want to give a shoutout to Catherine for sending us this fun article and for all the amazing tips. :)

Which of these tips will you be trying out this season?

Surfdome £250 Voucher Blogger Competition

Neil from Surfdome sent me an email letting me know about their blogger competition that is currently going on right now.
It ends tonight so I'm so relieved that I still have a whole day to get my entry in!!! Yay!

You can win a £250 voucher to Surfdome just by doing a few simple steps.
Click HERE to find out how.
But HURRY because you only have until tonight.
They will announce the winner tomorrow, so don't waste any time. :)

It wasn't easy creating this wishlist. Surfdome has an amazing selection of merchandise -- from tops, knitwears, trousers, all the way to BEAUTIFUL shoes!!!

My wishlist consists of:

1. Ichi Maal Cardigan -- I have been wanting a brown chunky knitted cardigan, so you won't believe my excitement when I saw this. I'll get a lot of use out of this cardigan this winter time, that's for sure.

2. Billabong Portobella Cardigan -- This is another slouchy cardigan that I really really really liked. It's an off-white color which can match a lot of different outfits. I also like that it's over-sized. It's definitely going to keep me warm and cozy during those chilly winter nights.

3. Pieces New Daisy Tights -- Burgundy is the "in" color this fall, so how could I pass up a pair of burgundy tights? It's very comfortable and not to mention, versatile. SCORE!

4. Oakley Moving Base Layer Thermals -- This would be great for lazy days. It's stretchy, so it would be super comfy for lounging around.

5. The North Face Shinsky Beanie -- Ah, I could already picture soooo many ways to wear this over-sized beanie.

6. Dr. Martens Marvel Crushed Velvet Boots -- I found out about these velvet Doc Martens through one of my favorite YouTube beauty guru, Bethany. She did a monthly favorites video and she was wearing these boots and I just fell in love with them!!! They're beautiful. I love the velvet material and I love the color. I really really really reaaaaaallllly want them!!!

7. Pia Rossini Elin Head Band -- A head wrap was actually in my Black Friday shopping list, but I wasn't able to find one that I really liked. But this Pia Rossini Elin Head Band is perfect!!!

So there's my Surfdome Wishlist!!! Whew, glad I got through that. It was definitely a challenge picking these out. There were so many amazing products to choose from.

Hopefully I win this voucher. Keeping my fingers crossed.
WISH ME LUCK!!!

Also, check out my review on the Zaggora HotPants 2.0 Shorts if you haven't yet! :D

Zaggora: Stay Fit for the Holiday Season

Before anything, we cannot start off a new post without our usual countdown.
Sooo... 16 more days till Christmas!!! Yay!!!

Now that that's out of the way, I heard about Zaggora last summer.
Everyone was raving about how amazing it is, so I was super ecstatic when Dinah and Rosie sent me a pair of their Zaggora HotPants 2.0 to review.

I couldn't wait for it to arrive in my mail.
Everyday, I would go around my whole house asking my family if a package arrived for me. And every time they say no, I'd be so sad. That's how anxious I was to try it.

So the day my Zaggora package finally came, I was soooooo excited.
I was literally jumping up and down singing "I got my Zaggoras. I got my Zaggoras."
I actually think I annoyed my family. Haha.
I even rubbed it in my little brother's face when he got home from school. (Even though, I don't think he really cared.)

The package included:

- the Zaggora HotPants
- a user manual guide
- a How-To guide for the 2 week Zaggora Challenge

Here is a close-up of the user manual guide.

It gives you info on how many calories you can burn just by doing normal household chores, while wearing your HotPants.

It says that you can burn:

- 70 calories by doing your laundry
- 80 calories by dusting
- 100 calories by gardening
- 75 calories by ironing
- 150 calories by mopping the floor
- 150 calories by mowing the lawn with a push mower
- 135 calories by raking the lawn
- 225 calories by rearranging your furniture
- 77 calories by doing the dishes
- 100 calories by washing your windows
- 150 calories by weeding the garden

Not everyone has time to go to the gym, so why not clean your house, run errands, and exercise at the same time?

If you get a pair of Zagorras, you can participate in their 2 week challenge where you have to wear your product everyday for 30 minutes whilst you are active.
Then after 2 weeks, measure and weigh yourself again to see how many inches and how much weight you lost.
Pretty fun, huh?

$72.00 (plus shipping)

HotPants™ 2.0 are lighter, stronger, and better than the originals with curved flat-lock seams that compliment every shape.
Specially designed with Celu-Lite technology fabric lining, HotPants enhance your natural body temperature to warm you up in the areas you want to target most (thighs, bottom, and legs).
HotPants underwent testing at the Chelsea School at Brighton University, where findings revealed:
• HotPants were shown to increase body temperature during exercise
• Wearing HotPants during at least 30 minutes of exercise increases energy expenditure by 11.3%
• Furthermore, HotPants increase energy expenditure by 12.5% in the 30 – 60 minutes after exercise (when HotPants are worn during resting recovery)
• Over a four-week period, HotPants were shown to increase weight loss, with each subject losing an average of 0.6kg (1.3lbs), which was a trend not seen in the control group
• Over a four-week period, subjects were shown to become more energy efficient and therefore fitter when wearing HotPants vs. the control group
• In order to see benefits from HotPants, at least 30 minutes of activity conducted with at least moderate intensity is required

I had a bit of difficulty putting these on for the first time, but after a week or two of wearing them while working out, it started to slide on easily, which I took as a good thing because it means that I've lost a couple inches. Yay!!!
These HotPants seriously make me sweat thrice as much as I normally do.
You can really feel sweat sliding down your body and your legs will feel like they're on fire.
This might be too much information, but just to prove to you guys how much this product makes you sweat, I'll just say it. Haha.
When I take off my HotPants and I'm about to take a shower after a workout, my undergarments are incredibly drenched in sweat!!!
The first time I saw this, I was like "Woaaahhh, is this forreals?"
I was super amazed.
As disgusting as it sounds, it was really like I took a shower in my own perspiration.

The pants is made of neoprene, polyester, and nylon.
The material is almost like rubber.
If you've ever worn a scuba diving suit, that's exactly how it feels like.
It also has a rubbery stench to it but it subsides really quickly.
Rosie was kind enough to let me know that the smell is just from the glue that holds the neoprene material and the magic lining together. :]
Just make sure to wash it after every use because the smell of rubber and sweat definitely do not mix well. Haha.

It has a yellow-green lining. I actually thought it's reversible but it's not. :(
That's okay though, because I still LOVE them.

I did the 2 week challenge and my results were amazing!!!
After the challenge, I lost 3 inches on my tummy, 3 inches on my hips, and 3 inches on my thighs.
I also lost 3 pounds!!! I couldn't be happier.

I actually accomplished the 2 week challenge early last month.
I've just been really busy, so it took me a while to do this review for you guys.
But here it is and I hope you enjoyed it.
And I do hope that you guys give this a try and see for yourself.
These products are incredible.
They're the perfect product to invest on if you're trying to lose weight or if you're deciding on just being healthy alone.

I still use my HotPants every time I work out and it still works great.
It's actually a bit loose now, so I may have to invest in another pair, probably early next year. :D

Have you guys tried any of the Zaggora products? How did it work out for you? What were your results?

Clinique: A Season's Worth Of Pretty

20 more days till Christmas, you guys!!!
My excitement is seriously getting greater and greater by the minute.
How about you? Let me know how your Holiday preparations are coming along in the comments below.
I would LOVE to hear all about them.

I also have a great gift idea for those of you who are still doing their Christmas shopping.
So keep reading if you'd like to see what it is! :)

Last Christmas 2011, I received Clinique's A Season's Worth Of Pretty Palette from my sister.
I haven't used it until now.
And let me tell you, this is now my favorite winter time palette!
It's seriously so amazing!
I can create many different looks using this kit.
I'll be using this non-stop this winter, that's for sure.

The package includes:

- the palette
- a guide to A Season's Worth Of Pretty Palette makeup looks

Don't you just love the palette design?
My sister got me the pink one because I am in love with the color pink.
I also really like the flower pattern. It's super girly. I LOVE IT!

This is the mini makeup tutorial they include to guide you if you're a beginner.
I think it's pretty clever.
It directs you step-by-step on how to create a particular look.

The looks included are:

NATURAL

DRAMATIC

and ALL-OUT GLAM.

TADA! Here is what the palette looks like.
It's divided between lips, eyes, and cheeks.
A brush for each section are also included, so it's super duper convenient.
It's also great for traveling.
Yes, the size isn't really ideal for packing and whatnot, but you have almost everything you need -- lip color, eyeshadow, and blush.
All you need to bring are some extras like mascara, eyeliner, foundation, etc.

The Butter Shine Lipstick colors are:

Shade 1 -- Crushed Grape
Shade 2 -- Pink Goddess
Shade 3 -- Persian Red
Shade 4 -- Adore U
Shade 5 -- Ambrosia

These lip colors are really moisturizing.
They also leave a pretty gloss and it's a great finishing touch to a whole look.
I am in love with SHADE 3!!! It gives my face a nice pop of color.
It's also perfect for those lazy days when I don't really feel like putting that much effort on my look.
I just put the Persian Red lipstick on and I'm good to go.

The Eye Shadow colors are:

Shade 6 -- Like Mink
Shade 7 -- Polar blue
Shade 8 -- Pink Chocolates
Shade 9  -- Pure Cocoa
Shade 10 -- Plum Potion

The eye shadows in this palette are incredibly subtle.
They're great for those who are new to makeup.
You'll be able to practice different eye looks whether you're going for a simple or a daring look.
My favorite color is SHADE 8.
It's like a pink champagne color, so I think it would be perfect for my everyday makeup this winter time.

The cheek blush colors are:

Shade 11 -- Pink Love
Shade 12 -- Precious Posy
Shade 13 -- Sunset Glow

I am a complete blush addict, so this would probably be my favorite part of this palette.
I really like SHADE 13 because it's like a peachy color.
I don't have this shade yet in my blush collection, so I really love that one.

I'm not entirely sure if Clinique will be putting this palette out this Christmas time, but I think it's a seasonal kind of thing so they should be.
BUT if they're not, I'm sure you guys can still find something similar to it.
I think an all-in-one makeup palette would make an incredibly awesome Christmas present!

Do you guys have Clinique's A Season's Worth Of Pretty Palette? If not, would you be trying it out this winter time?
