Dress with Style and Confidence for any Event with Kaki Read

Your glasses should be a reflection of you, and here at Warby Parker we love the idea of having glasses that you can tailor to your own personal lifestyle to fit the personality of any occasion.

Showing up in the right outfit can turn any event into a pleasant experience. Comfort counts, but knowing you look effortlessly put together will make an even bigger difference in how you feel. Others will pick up on the mood you create with an air of confidence and a fashionable combination of lines, textures and colors.

For instance, if you’re lucky enough to be invited to a garden wedding, you have the rare opportunity to create a vintage look that is both dazzling and elegant. You want to avoid competing with the bride or looking like one of the wedding party, but choosing an asymmetrical hemmed maxi dress in a gauzy, flowery print would be both appropriate and stylish. Ankle strapped pumps or dressy wedges would make it easy for you to glide among the other guests, and jewelry as well as sunglasses like a pair of blue marblewood Paley frames should allow you to sparkle quietly, but still make a statement. This is a case where a hat would indeed be your crowning glory, and choosing a floppy one with touches of color should complete the picture.

Garden Wedding

A Garden Wedding Ensemble

A less formal occasion such as a visit to museum or art gallery calls for a specific kind of planning. You can’t go wrong with one of the many designer shirt dresses that range from simple to safari. Adding textured leg wear and a metallic belt can better express your personality and keep the look from going too plain Jane. An understated pilot shoulder bag should suffice to tote your camera and phone along with tortoise readers such as the Ainsworth frames to inspect those difficult to see pieces. Since you will be on your feet most of the time, comfortable platform tee-straps with chunky heels or mixed media booties should keep the spring in your step and the “you” in your style.

Shopping should be a more laid back event, but informal can go beyond yoga sweats and sneakers. An all day trip to the mall is the perfect time to break out those daring skinny pants you’ve been itching to wear whether they are floral ankle jeans or brightly colored crops. Top these with a loose fitting, color coordinated tunic top or your favorite lacy cami and that classic blazer with a casual eternity scarf and a pair of Sims frames in burgundy fade. Shoes are key items here since you will be doing a fair amount of walking. Leopard ballerina flats or tooled leather loafers can be easily kicked off as you quickly shuffle in and out of fitting rooms.

After visiting Warby Parker and browsing their website, I am now a HUGE HUGE fan!
They are also having a promo called "Buy A Pair, Give A Pair," where FOR EVERY PAIR PURCHASED, A PAIR IS DISTRIBUTED TO SOMEONE IN NEED.

So, if you are looking for a good quality pair of eye glasses, give Warby Parker a chance and help support an extremely great cause. :D

Have you ever purchased a pair of Warby Parker glasses? Which outfit is your favorite?

H&M Knitted Sweater | Sunny Style Fashion Skirt | DIY Peter Pan Collar Necklace | Geneva White Watch | Fashion Q Studded Oxfords

$26.99

Chiffon lightweight material.
Super comfortable.
Flowy and airy.
Average length.
Very good quality considering that it's handmade.
Black elastic waistband makes for a perfect fit.
Available in different colors.
Shipping was FAST & EASY!

Sunhye from SunnyStyle Fashion sent me the Fishtail Hi-Low skirt.
I've never really been into the "hi-low" trend.
I don't like how it looks and I find it kind of odd, but all of that changed when I received this skirt.
I really like how it fits. I also like how it's not too short. It's still long enough if I want to wear it as "high-waisted."
I'm a big fan of chiffon, so I looooove that this skirt is made of chiffon material.
I also love how it's super flowy.
I get really uncomfortable in skin tight clothes, so flowy is the way to go!

I wanted a top that will pop against the white skirt, so I wore my blue green knitted sweater that I got from H&M when I went Black Friday shopping.
I kept my accessories simple by keeping the focus on my DIY Peter Pan collar necklace (I'll be showing you guys how to make your own soon. :)), gold bow stud earrings, my white Geneva watch, and a couple of rings from a local boutique.
For my shoes, I wore my studded suede oxfords that I purchased from Fashion Q.

The Fishtail Hem Hi-Low Skirt also comes in other colors:

- White
- Beige
- Blue
- Leopard Print
- Brown
-Gray
-Black

SunnyStyle Fashion is also giving you guys a 10% off discount to their online store! Just enter the code: READMYLIFE10 at checkout.
However, this code can ONLY be used in their ETSY SHOP because eBay doesn't offer discount codes, so ONLY use this code in their etsy shop!!!

In addition, they are also having a 15% off Valentine's Day sale on BOTH their Etsy shop and eBay store.
So if you haven't gone shopping for your Valentine's Day outfit, be sure to check them out. :D

What are your thoughts on the Hi-LOW trend? Have you heard about SunnyStyle Fashion?

SEVENTEEN: 30 Days Of Amazing Style

Happy Thursday!!!

Now that I've started school, I'm always on the lookout for different fashion inspirations in magazines, pinterest, Refinery 29, etc...
I have class everyday from Mondays to Fridays, so choosing my outfits can be a bit challenging. ;)

You don't have to have a lot of clothes to be able to dress "nice."
All you have to do is MIX AND MATCH

This is probably one of my favorite articles in the SEVENTEEN magazine.
I always look forward to reading this portion when I receive my magazine in the mail.
I use all the looks for inspiration and I try to take key pieces from the different looks to make one whole outfit.

My top picks:

6, 8

9, 10, 12, 13

17, 18, 22

24, 26, 29, 30

With these 30 unique outfits, I'm set for the next month. :D

What are your picks?

Winter Break Is Definitely Over!

HAPPY TUESDAY, EVERYONE!!!
I hope you guys are having a great start to your week.

Keep calm & Study on... perfect for every student... especially around finals season!

I started 2nd semester of college yesterday, so things have been slightly hectic. (Just a tiny bit. Haha.)
I'm currently trying to snap out of winter break mode.
It's been a challenging adjustment, considering that I slept at 5 in the morning every night (or morning?), but I'd say that I've been doing pretty well on getting up in time for class. ;)

I want to say sorry in advance for the lack of posts this week.
But as soon as I get my class schedule straight and I get the hang of things, I'll be able to post regularly again.
I have a lot of fun things in store for all you lovely readers, so keep an eye out!

:D

Have you started school yet?

Let's talk about you & me. Let's talk about GlassesUSA.com!

I have been wearing glasses ever since I was a little girl.
I remember getting really dizzy in church, so my Mom took me to the optometrist afterwards and that's when I got my very first pair of eyeglasses.
If I recall correctly, it was a round shaped frame (almost like Harry Potter's, but smaller) and it had the words "MICKEY" on the side.
I had those glasses for a REALLY long time! Haha.

A few years back, we had to personally go to an optometrist's clinic in order to purchase eyeglasses
But thank God for technology, now we can all access online eyeglasses!!!

GlassesUSA.com offers high quality frames and lenses.
They offer a 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee along with a generous refer-a-friends program.

They have sooo many glasses frames to choose from.
They also carry various popular designer brands such as Ray-Ban, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Armani Exchange, Guess, Coach, and many more.

Here some glasses frames from their website.
Not only are these extremely cute, but they are also reasonably priced.

College Tortoise Shell
$78.00

Eight A169A Brown
$89.00

Guess GU1691 White
$132.00

HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Give it a try below...

You'll be able to see how you look with the glasses on, right before you order it! :D
