Fashion Spotlight: In Love With Fashion -- Review & Giveaway -- CLOSED

I hope you guys had a great time with your family and friends.
And I hope that you guys ate a lot of yummy food because I sure did.
Be sure to read this post all the way for a little Thanksgiving treat. :D

In Love With Fashion is a boutique that sells a variety of clothes.
They have dresses, tops, jumpsuits, skirts, knitwears, accessories, and many more.
Their prices range from $30 and up.

Here are a couple of bloggers who fell in love In Love With Fashion like I did.

I was given the opportunity to review one of their beautiful dresses for you guys.
There were so many choices, that it literally took me hours to choose one. I kept on jumping from one dress to another.

LOVE Gold Metallic Waterfall Dress
Retails for $48.00

My package came in the mail wrapped in black tissue paper inside an In Love With Fashion plastic bag.
I was so excited to open it and see my dress that I just literally ripped it open! ;P

Here is the front and back view of the dress.

As you can see, the color is gold with bits of silver thread sewed in all around. It's so sparkly! Just my kind of dress.

The dress does have a straight cut which I don't like. It doesn't hug my body which makes me look like I have no curves.
I got a size small/medium and the dress is still a bit too big for me.
I have to safety pin it in a couple of places just so it doesn't look like I'm wearing a sack.

My favorite part is the back. It's a bit low cut so it shows a little skin when it's worn. The ruffles add so much to this dress since the front is a bit plain.
I love the ruffles because it makes it more feminine considering of its straight cut.

How would you wear this out?

For a casual look -- I would add a belt to cinch it at the waist just to give myself a shape.
I'll also wear it with either a jean jacket or a black leather jacket to give it a casual feel.
Then I would add lots of thick gold bangles for a bohemian feel.
For the shoes, I would wear my black lace up booties.

For a formal event -- I would pair the LOVE Gold Metallic Waterfall Dress with my Pleaser black lace pumps.
I wouldn't wear a belt just because it doesn't really look formal with it on. I'll just saftey pin it here and there so it doesn't look too big.
I'll accessorize it with either a chunky gold necklace or a nice pair of gold dangling earrings.
I'll wear a black blazer over it just in case I get cold.

Trailer: Snow White and the Huntsman & Mirror Mirror

Snow White and the Huntsman

Oh my, this actually looks really good.
I can't wait to watch it. I love the way Charlize Theron narrates the story.
She sounds just like how the queen is suppose to sound and very, well, evil. ;]

Kristen Stewart makes a good Snow White as well. She looks really pretty in the trailer. I think this is going to be better than "Mirror Mirror".
It's something different from the traditional love story.

Here is the "Mirror Mirror" trailer.

Both stories are really different from each other. Mirror Mirror is more laidback and fun.

Comes out Summer 2012.

LOVE IT: The 39th American Music Awards

What: The 39th American Music Awards
When: November 20, 2011 at 8:00 pm
Where: The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles

Let's go see what the celebs wore, shall we?
Here is my LOVE IT post!

Audrina Patridge

So I couldn't really decide if I liked her look or not.
I just think there's something wrong with her dress.
But I do like how she did her hair and makeup.

Erica Dasher

Heidi Klum

Hillary Scott

Jennifer Hudson

Julia Kurbatova

Julie Bowen

I think this look isn't really appropriate for an award show.
But I do like her dress soooooo...HENCE the 'LOVE IT' post.

Katy Perry

Sara Ramirez

She looks so sexy!

Vanessa Lachey

Jennifer Morrison

She looks like a Grecian Goddess.
I was a bit disappointed when I found out that they're not going to be showing a new episode of Once Upon A Time tonight. :(

Jenny McCarthy

I really really like this look. It's so simple but you can see the edgy side to it.
I also love her hair and makeup.

Taylor Swift

My favorite look would probably be Taylor Swift's. I think it was the best look overall even though she did kind of played it safe. I'm just glad that she didn't wear her signature curls.

Who was your favorite look of the night?!

Product Review: Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion

Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion

This lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion blends replenishing natural Cocoa Butter with emollient Lanolin to soothe and soften dry, irritated skin. It's recommended as an effective facial moisturizer for day or night use to help reduce the appearance of dry skin wrinkles, lines and crow's feet. The lotion works to restore and maintain skin's essential moisture balance and is excellent for skin that has been overexposed to sun or wind. It also helps relieve stretched skin during and after pregnancy. After just a few uses your skin will feel softer, smoother and more comfortable.

This lotion is extremely moisturizing.
It has a thick consistency so it takes time for my skin to absorb it.
I apply it every night and every morning when I'm getting ready for school and it makes my skin feel really smooth.

It lasts the whole day which is perfect for the chilly fall weather.
It's been really windy here in California lately. I walk to school so I need some extra moisture to prevent my skin from cracking.
This product is also great for rough elbows, knees, feet, and of course, stretch marks.

The packaging is just wonderful. I got a 32 oz. bottle for only $3.31.
I think that's an awesome deal since the bottle is HUGE!
It has a snap on top that makes it easy to apply. You don't have to go through all the trouble of turning the cap.

This is what the lotion looks like. It's a light yellow color.
It's very creamy. It also smells great, like Cocoa Butter.
The smell doesn't really last so if you don't like it, it's not a problem.

This lotion is perfect for a student like me. It's a great moisturizer! I don't have to worry about having dry, cracked skin at school.
I definitely recommend this product. I give it 4 stars.

Have you tried using the Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion? What was your experience with it?

I love to put on lotion. Sometimes I'll watch TV and go into a lotion trance for an hour. I try to find brands that don't taste bad in case anyone wants to taste me.

Snacks Snacks Snacks: Hostess

This is just a quick post to say hello!
I also wanted to share with you guys my snacks for school this week. :D

I got these at Vons yesterday when I was running errands with my Mom.
I don't really remember all their prices, though. Sorry!

These are great for school because I can just stick them in my bag.
All I have to do is buy water. I usually bring at least 3 of these everyday (but they're usually gone by first period. haha.).

My sister gave me the idea to just put them all in this huge basket. That way, I can just grab them in the morning before I leave. :]

I also think it's cute. I placed the basket in the middle of our kitchen counter so it makes for a nice decoration.

Wishing all of you guys an awesome week!

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.

Product Review: Freeman Facial Clay Mask in Avocado & Oatmeal

Freeman Facial Clay Mask: Avocado & Oatmeal

What makes you feel beautiful and polished? New shoes? A great haircut? Natural ingredients for clean, soft, smooth skin?

Made with natural, botanical ingredients, new Freeman Feeling Beautiful is a full range of skin and body care products to help you look and feel your best.

This rich clay mask, with added oatmeal and Vitamin E, draws out excess oils and dirt, purging clogged pores, leaving your skin clean and soft.

As I have mentioned many times before, I love to wear facial masks at least twice a week. It's very relaxing for me and it makes my skin glow.

This Avocado mask unclogs pores and it makes your skin feel smooth after every use.
It reduces breakouts and prevents you from getting acne.
It also absorbs oil for those of you who have oily skin.

It definitely doesn't burn or irritate your skin like any other facial products.
It goes on very smoothly and you can feel a little tingle once it's on.

Here is a step-by-step on applying the mask.
I wanted to show you guys what the mask looks like when it's freshly squeezed from the tube, spread all over, and once it's dry on your skin.

The texture of the Freeman avocado mask is creamy and smooth. It smells very refreshing due to its "avocado-y" scent. It also has a hint of mint.
(haha. that rhymes!)

The Freeman Facial Clay Mask Avocado & Oatmeal is a great product.
I definitely recommend it to you guys.
I give this mask 5 stars. :D

Have you tried any of Freeman's products? How did you like it? Do you recommend any of them?

...the avocado is a food without rival among the fruits, the veritable fruit of paradise

Product Review: NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Eyeshadow

NYC Ultra Pearl Mania
Very Pink Pearl & Orange Zest Pearl

A potent bullet of colors! The loose powder is everything the single shadow is; super pigmented, easy to blend, long lasting, plus its packed with shimmer! Glisten the windows to your soul with these beautiful powders.

This eyeshadow is very pigmented so a little goes a LONG way. It does not crease but you have to apply a primer first to make the eyeshadow last. It works great as a highlighter.

The packaging isn't that great. It's a tiny bottle and the small opening makes it a bit hard to get to the actual powder. You can either transfer it to a small container or you can use a tiny eyeshadow brush when you're applying it.

Here is a swatch of Very Pink and Orange Zest.
I wanted to show you guys both the color and the shimmer that it has.

As you guys can see in the picture, they are extremely pigmented. I like Very Pink A LOT!
It's girly and sparkly. :D

These eyeshadows are sold in 30 different colors! They are also very cheap. Definitely worth the price.

Have you ever tried the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania? How do you like it?
