Product Review: Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara

My everyday makeup routine consists of concealer, mascara, bronzer, blush, and chapstick.
I don't like to pack on make up because I hate feeling like I have cakey skin.
Less is more, that's for sure!

My current mascara is the Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara.
You can get it at any drugstore for only $8.99.
It comes in 3 colors: blackest black, black, and blackened brown.

2 gorgeous lash looks. 1 genius brush.
The innovative brush has adjustable bristles so you can amp up length & drama or get all-out length & definition.

New Revlon CustomEyes™ Mascara is the first Revlon mascara that offers two gorgeous lash looks with one genius brush. The innovative brush has adjustable bristles to amp up length & drama or for all-out length & definition.

I didn't really like it at first just because I felt like it clumped my eyelashes together.
It also tends to stain my undereye after a period of time which is one of the cons of this product.
But when I started using it everyday, it grew on me. Haha.
I've gotten used to using it that I'm already on my 2nd tube!!! :D

This mascara combines length and volume!
The brush has 2 sides that helps make your eyelashes long and voluminous.
This is the length and drama side of the brush.
I usually apply one coat of this first to both of my lashes.

Here is a before and after of my lashes.

After applying one coat, you can already see the difference in the length.
You can also see that it sort of separated my lashes a bit.

This is the length and definition side of the mascara.
After applying one coat of the length and drama, I then apply 2 light coats of the length and definiton.
I try to refrain from putting on a lot of coats because that's when it starts to clump and flake.

Here is another before and after look of my lashes after applying both sides of the mascara.

It's fuller and more defined. It's also more black in color.
After 2 coats, I stroke my lashes from the root to the tip by using only the ends of the brush.
It helps separate them from each other.

The Revlon CustomEyes Mascara works pretty decent.
It's not the best product out there, but it's very manageable.
However, I think it's a bit too expensive for its so-so quality.

Overall, I give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Have you guys tried this mascara? How did you like it?

  1. The Revlon Mascaras are pretty good. It looks like you can just get great lashes with 1 coat! Does it get flaky throughout the day? Out of the two, Length and Drama is my fav!

    1. Sometimes, it does flake. Like you'll see bits of pieces in your under eye. but it's nothing a quick swipe won't fix. However it does tend to stain your skin under the eyes. That's what I hate the most about it!!!
