New Beauty Trends To Try Now! :D

Before anything, I just wanted to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope everyone had a great time with their family and friends. :)

I'm always on the lookout for the season's new trends, are you?
I love trying out new things. It's really exciting to step out of your comfort zone and try something that you wouldn't normally do (or in this case wear) -- darker lips, bright blush, winged eyeliner, etc.

So here is a little guideline for all you "makeup adventurers" out there. :)

1. MAJOR BLUSH

Windswept cheeks are bold but easy; Apply most on the apples and blend out toward temples. Pick brights for fair skin; go deeper for darker skin.

Here are a couple of different blushes that I have in my collection that are perfect for the "major blush" trend.

2. PERFECT PONIES

Shiny, sleek, and pulled super tight -- these tails are too chic for the gym...but perfect for your portrait!

I have yet to try this hairstyle.
My hair is still really short (it's shoulder length) for this trend but I will definitely try this once it starts getting longer. :)

3. DRAMATIC WINGS

Be fierce your first day with killer cat-eyes! Draw a thick line, and then swoosh it like you mean it!

I do the cat-eye look on a daily basis.
I LOOOOOVE this look especially with red lips. It's just perfection.

4. PRETTY HEADBANDS

Heads up! Frame your face in tulle, satin, and lace!

I love wearing headbands!!!
They're an easy way to accessorize. They're also the best thing to use when you're having a bad hair day!
Talk about being a savior. Haha.

5. POWER BROWS

Draw attention to your eyes with strong brows! This look calls for minimal makeup -- just swipe on a brow gel that's one shade darker than your own.

I don't have a brow gel but what I DO have is my ever so trusty E.L.F eyebrow kit.
I always tell my sisters that my favorite part of putting on makeup is doing my eyebrows.
I just really love the look of defined eyebrows. And I also love shaping them.

6. WILD CURLS

Unleash your locks! Create perfect ringlets with a tiny curler, and then brush them out for a big chiffon-y effect.

This hairstyle screams runway!!! It's a really crazy look, but I would so LOVE to try it.

Which of these trends would you like to try?

  2. I think that brows are so important! I feel naked when I don't fill them in. I do need to find a good blush though. xo

  7. I definitely want to get on the headband trend. I like the new way people are wearing them...(across the head instead of underneath the hair)
