Ties.com -- Doesn't He Look Dashing?

Hello, hello my lovely readers!
Today, I have something really different for you guys.
James, from Ties.com, was kind enough to send me a few of their products to review.
Since it is Homecoming/School Dances season in the high school world, this couldn't have come at a better time!

I don't know about you guys, but I prefer bow ties over neck ties. I think a guy looks better and cuter with a bow tie on. It's very dapper and dashing.

I couldn't be happier with the packaging.
The ties came in this purple envelope bag made with a sort of felt material.
It's actually so cute that I'm thinking of doing a little D.I.Y with it to make it a fashionable clutch. (What do you guys think? Should I do it?)

Here are the 3 items that I received from Ties.com:

- Navy Blue 16" Pocket Square
- Navy Blue Self Tie Bow Tie
- Christmas Red Self Tie Bow Tie

Before anything else, I want to give a shout out to my brother who agreed to model these bow ties for me. YAY!!!

Moving on, this is what he wore to his Homecoming Dance a couple weeks ago.
Their theme was "Through The Times", so we thought that wearing the navy blue tie along with the pocket square was appropriate. It was very old time-y.

$16.95

It's made out of 100% silk material. It has a lustrous satin shine.
It's light. It takes a little bit of time to learn how to tie it, but once you get the hang of it, it will be a breeze.
It fits up to a 21 inch neck
These ties are of very good quality. It doesn't wrinkle as much, which is a total plus.

This bow tie also comes in 32 other colors
black, baby blue, cornflower blue, aquamarine, royal blue, blue aster, wedgewood blue, sky blue, cocoa brown, chestnut, peapod green, teal, classic green, spruce green, celedon green, christmas green, burnt orange, coral, bridal rose, peony pink, hot pink, lavender, baby lilac, christmas red, charcoal, medium gray, wedding silver, wedding day white, sunshine yellow, rich gold, bright gold, artisans gold

$15.95

This pocket square is also made out of 100% silk. It has a dimension of 16.5 x 16.5.
Adding a pocket square to a suit or a tux will turn your entire ensemble from perfectly fine to superbly refined.

This pocket square comes in 41 other colors
Aside from the 32 color choices mentioned above, there are also:
neon blue, turquoise, blue iris, raw umber, kelly green, orange dream, baby pink, royal purple, candy apple, maroon, burgundy, crimson red, butter yellow, straw

Popcorn anyone? Haha. I'm just kidding.
This outfit just reminds me of a popcorn vendor who walks around in carnivals.
I think it looks cute though. :)

$16.95

Here is how the red bow tie looks.
It reminds me of Christmas (hence the name). Haha. I think it would be perfect for my brother's next school event/dance.

If your dad, brother, boyfriend, or husband needs a bow tie or a neck tie for any upcoming event, be sure to check out www.ties.com. It will also make a great Christmas present for all the lucky men in your lives. :D

What do you ladies prefer on a guy? Neck Ties or Bow Ties?

  3. Neck ties for work. Bow ties if he's going somewhere special. I'm used to seeing my other half in a shirt and neck tie most days as he has to wear one for work.

  11. These look lovely... I especially like the felt envelope packaging... Very modern and different.
As for the ties, I guess I'd probably choose the blue one for its colour.
