FASHION FRIENDS: Which Clique Are You?

"High School was the best 4 years of my life."
At least that's what most people would say.
I definitely enjoyed my high school experience.
Yes, it started off a bit rocky (freshman year was my very first time attending a public school), but I met a lot of new friends and everything eventually fell into place as the time progressed and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

One thing I noticed among high school students is the way each and every one of them expresses themselves through fashion.
I, myself, LOVED to dress up when I was in high school. (Well, I still do.)
I would always plan out my outfit the night before to save me some time in the morning.
It was pretty interesting to see unique styles and various fashion "cliques" among the student body.

Let's see which one we belonged to...

THE TRENDSETTERS

You style sisters rock the hallway like a runway in unique looks that mix classic basics with designer finds.

THE ART KIDS

Your outfit is your canvas: Fill it with unexpected colors, eye-catching prints, and quirky details.

THE JOCKS

Fashion is in your court this year, sporty girl. Athletic fabrics and neon colors are super-hot, and so are you!

THE DRAMAS

You belong in the spotlight. Take the stage in bold looks that prove you're a style star.

In terms of fashion, I think I would've been in the TRENDSETTERS group with a little bit of the ART KIDS. (Although, I am in no way artistic.)
Mix them both together and that's how I dressed as a high schooler.
Everyone always told me that I dress so colorful. I always took that as a compliment because I definitely didn't want to be known as the dull one. Haha.

My high school didn't really have the stereotypical "cliques" like what they have in movies.
Everyone pretty much hung out with everyone.
You'll see a baseball player hanging out with a science geek or a cheerleader hanging out with the "Asians."
Yes, there were people who had more friends than the others and there was definitely the occasional snobby girl, but it was never like a Regina George type of thing.
Do those kind of cliques even really exist?

Which fashion clique would you have belonged to? Did your high school have the populars, the jocks, the geeks, etc?

  1. We didn't get to chose our outfits, we had to wear a uniform. But If I did fall into one of those it would probably be the Jocks category - Lol. I was no way a trendy kid in high school. x

  9. this is a cool post! we didn't really have major cliques either, just the normal group of friends. :) and i don't really know which fashion group i belonged to in high school -- i went to an all-girls catholic school and we wore uniforms all the time. i do love accessorizing my uniforms though, haha! ;)

  15. I combined all of them (still do). Had to smile at the part about planning the night before. I used to plan mu clothes and then wake up 2 hours early to make sure my hair and makeup were perfect. Those were the days! :)

    1. I totally get you! Although I actually didn't wear that much makeup in high school -- just concealer, eyeliner (upper lash line), and mascara. I spent more time on the clothes. LOL.

  18. I would place myself between the first and second group aswell.
Although i dont really believe in real cliques in that way... it would be terrible. Mixing is always good :)

  19. These types of cliques didn't exist at my school, I think everyone was quite cool and everyone would hang out with everyone else.

  21. Reading this makes me miss school in general :D when i did school in WI there was somewhat of a 'clique' but never in a mean girls kinda way but everyone was somewhat friends with everyone. When i was in HS we had our own clique but we never bullied anyone or anything but we were still nice to other people but i know they existed but i am glad i never got to experience it :D I saw i was pretty dull, never the jocks or fashion type...probably artistic and weird lol or just plain weird maybe...

  25. Well, in primary school we actuavy did have actual cliques and back then I think the fashion clique I was in was a mix of tomboy, girly and artistic. Now I'm in yr 8 so we have uniforms but I think I would be a mix of artistic and trendsetter with a dash of smartn I adore trilby hats.

  26. And by actual cliques I mean not just d fashion ones but real life ones as well. There were d naughty popular kids, the goody goody kids, the jokers and the weirdos. I hung out with d female populars, some jokers & majority of weirdos but I fell under d category of goody goody.
